Is Biotulin poisonous?

The key active ingredients in Biotulin are botanical extracts, sourced from plants acting similarly to an anesthetic to simply relax the facial muscles. As such Biotulin is safer than traditional injectables, which paralyse facial muscles through potent neurotoxins.

Is Biotulin suitable for all skin types?

Biotulin products are dermatologically tested and approved to be suitable to on all skin types, including sensitive skin. However if you suffer from skin conditions (e.g. eczema, dermatitis, auto-immune-diseases, etc.) and your natural skin barrier is therefore impaired, we do not recommend the use of Biotulin Supreme Skin Gel, due to the low content of alcohol in the product which may irritate.

Any ‘nasty ingredients’ in Biotulin?

The main focus while developing Biotulin Supreme Skin Gel was to obtain a safe product, which shows an effect similar to facial injections without triggering allergies or adverse skin reactions. Therefore Biotulin is an all-natural, clear gel, which does not contain perfumes or scents and is free from parabens, mineral oils, animal-derived or -tested ingredients.

How long does Biotulin last & is it cost efficient?

Naturally it depends on the extent of areas you are targeting. If applied only to specific areas on your face (forehead frown lines, between eye-brows, crows feet), then experience shows it to last for about 4-6 weeks. Of course this timeframe will lessen if you include additional skin areas e.g. your neck or décolleté (for the latter we recommend Biotulin Hans & Franz Cleavage Smoothing Lotion instead 🙂

Is Biotulin easy to apply & how fast does it work?

Biotulin can be incorporated into any daily skin care routine and used in combination with any foundations/make up. The most important thing is that you apply Biotulin directly onto cleansed / toned skin, as it is a water-based product and will not penetrate into the skin over other (greasy) layers of product. Apply a pea-size drop on your fingers and gently massage it in to your areas of concern.

Generally it takes less than 60 minutes until you can fully sense the tightening effect. After a while you will figure out the characteristic reaction of your skin and how to adjust your individual dosage accordingly, to get the best results.

Can I over-dose or over-use Biotulin?

Over-dose or over-use is not really possible. The perfect application process however suggests, that you use Biotulin in the morning and evening, directly to cleansed skin as the ingredients will penetrate better.

Because Biotulin acts more like an anesthetic, its effect fades off after a maximum of 12 hours, so there is no risk of negative side effects as to what can happen with traditional, needle-injected treatments.

Where are Biotulin products made?

Why is Biotulin packaged in a pump dispenser?

The sophisticated pump dispenser of Biotulin Supreme Skin Gel ensures that the product remains airtight. Therefore its key ingredients remain active for 6 months (after first opening of the dispenser). Still it remains good practice to store any cosmetics in a cool place and out of direct sunlight.

When is biotulin the right product for me?

Generally every skin is different and depending on the history and depth of your lines, you will experience varying results. People with thick, sun-damaged skin may not see the same results as someone with medium / thin skin.

However, the anaesthetic effect of Biotulin can be felt and seen very quickly. The herbal extracts work on the muscle action, while Hyaluronic acid is acting as a water binding ingredient. It will plump up the skin and makes it radiant.

Most people develop frown and forehead lines over years due to strong facial expressions. Biotulin causes these muscles to relax and contract with less force, so your lines are softening, while you still maintain natural facial expressions.

What about other "plumping" products?

Most of the ‘in-a-bottle’ products are based on ‘peptides’ as active ingredients, and mainly on the synthetic ‘Argireline’. Now only high concentrations of Argireline show results.
